Sea Days
These 5 days at sea were just GLORIOUS!  Man oh man, was it nice to just
not have to go anywhere or do anything at a certain time.  The only time
schedule we adhered to is whatever activities or meals we wanted to go to!
We slept every day until our body clock's woke us up.  Our first meal of the
day was usually lunch :-).  Because we had so much fun just lazing we really
didn't take a lot of pictures.  The only pictures we seem to have are towel
animals and from our excitement we had our 2nd full day at sea.  A poor
woman had the misfortune of falling and breaking her hip.  The ship had to
travel 4 hours back towards land so that a US Coast Guard Helicopter
could meet the ship and airlift her off the back of the ship.  Since our cabin
was on the back of the ship we had a birds eye view of the action.  So here
are some pics of the airlift and of course our Towel Animals :-).
As we found out later it is protocol
for the USCG to send an airplane
as well.  The plane just continued
to circle the ship repeatedly and
once the Helicopter was cleared
from the Ship the Plane took off.
During our Sea Days Jim & Kim had
a little gathering in their Suite.
Background Story: While packing for
the trip Jim & Kim were in a hurry
and Jim could not remember what
size batteries they needed for all of
their electronic gadgets so he
hurriedly packed a sleeve of every
size battery they had bought recently
at Costco!  Their bags were close to
being overweight and we were
convinced it was the batteries that
sent it over the edge!  We had quite a
few laughs over this!
These were 3 of our 4 tablemates.
Dave (not shown) Jody, Marion &
Ken.  We had a good time at dinner
each night!
